It's not uncommon for a bride to get ready in the house they grew up in. Oftentimes, they're in the very room they inhabited as a child. There are pictures on the wall, memorabilia spread throughout, speaking of their past. Sometimes, in the midst of it all, I imagine that little girl: what she was like, who she thought she was going to be, who she wanted to marry...

Grady. Grades. Gradester. G-man. Grady-bug. Bug. The bug. Buggy. And, he is only a little over a week old. I learned a few things about my family these past two weeks. Well, "remembered" is probably a better word for it—I had forgotten I knew... 

There's a new term I've started to use in reference to the way certain couples interact with each other: "old love." I can't honestly say if I heard it somewhere, or if I made it up, but it refers to a deep, deepness of love and familiarity.

There's one question I usually ask, whenever I meet with a couple: how did you two meet? It's always fun to see who tells the story, what they say, whether they both attest to the accuracy of the story, etc. 

Rumor has it that Stu had kept a picture of him and Bunny hidden, behind another picture, for years. It was taken when they were teenagers, and he must have known something she didn’t at the time—that one day they’d end up together. 

"You must see a lot," the bride's sister said to me, towards the end of the night. 
"Yes, I do," I said, laughing," every wedding is different."
