It's not uncommon for a bride to get ready in the house they grew up in. Oftentimes, they're in the very room they inhabited as a child. There are pictures on the wall, memorabilia spread throughout, speaking of their past. Sometimes, in the midst of it all, I imagine that little girl: what she was like, who she thought she was going to be, who she wanted to marry.
Though Megan wasn't in her room, and there weren't pictures on the wall, it wasn't hard to imagine. I knew that little girl. And, I knew she waited to find that boy. Having grown up in the same church, I can't remember not knowing Megan's family. Needless to say, this wedding was close to my heart. She was beautiful, grace-filled, and her groom: gentle and kind. This I know, watching you two: God gives good gifts. Congrats, Megan and James! So happy for you.
