There's a new term I've started to use in reference to the way certain couples interact with each other: "old love." I can't honestly say if I heard it somewhere, or if I made it up, but it refers to a deep, deepness of love and familiarity. That's the phrase I am left with, after spending the day with Paul and Marisa. Old love. Their gentleness and affection for each other was strikingly beautiful. It felt easy to picture them dancing, 50 years from now, with the same first-dance look in their eyes.
