There's one question I usually ask, whenever I meet with a couple: how did you two meet? It's always fun to see who tells the story, what they say, whether they both attest to the accuracy of the story, etc. It tells me a lot about the couple, and I really like that. I love hearing those stories.
True to form, I asked PJ and Sara that same question, and sat as they both seemed to bust at the seams, in excitement. "Do you want to tell the story?" "You tell it better." PJ sat with a huge smile on his face, while Sara recounted their journey; he would interject when more detailed was needed. There was a playfulness and laughter about them, which also had me smiling.
Then there was the wedding day. Joy, laughter, celebration. I don't know what other words I could use to describe them and their demeanor throughout the day—it was a party, and they invited those around them to partake in the joy. I felt at the end of the day that they were friends.
