Ambur and I had both checked the weather. Repeatedly. But, weather has a way of doing what it wants, when it wants, and so the rain started falling the exact moment they pulled into the parking lot. Not an ideal situation, by any means! Though, I learned something about them, as we sat and talked about their wedding plans and waited out the rain.
The truth is they weren't fazed by the whole ordeal. They waited patiently, till the rain passed, and were up and ready to go when it did! They were happy and excited, as if they had already forgotten about the setback. That's really an incredible attribute. They're grateful, gracious people and I saw that shine through everrrrything. And, it makes me so excited for their marriage-to-be: for the safety and refuge they've cultivated. It's a big deal.
