Having just photographed Cassie's newborn nephew a few months prior, I was so, so excited to photograph her firstborn! I feel grateful to be welcomed into these special moments for this special family. It's really cool, when you think about it: we're born into relationships. Our very birth instantly intertwines us with others: cousins, aunts, grandparents, etc. And, having gotten to know this family over the past several months, I can imagine the immense joy in which Lila was received. Her aunt, uncle, cousins, grandparents—they loved her already.
