One of my favorite things about working as a photographer is being "invited in." Usually, there's a big milestone taking place in a family at the time of their session: birth of a baby, special birthday, or a yearly photo to document the growth of children. It's a view into their lives that I truly cherish.
When Julia asked me to photograph her daughter's first birthday, the invitation felt extra special. Back in 2015, I had the honor of shooting Julia and Kevin's wedding, so to be able to capture their little Addy three years later was just amazing. It was so fun getting to catch up with them both, see them as a family of three, and meet their precious girl. All on a beautiful New Jersey summer night.
