More and more, one of my favorite things to do during a photo shoot is to step back for a moment to watch a family. I like keeping my eyes open for the things that make them them. It reminds me that I'm not there solely to make them look good (though, I will!)—I'm really there to capture the beauty of who they are, the connection between them. This family reminded me of that truth: life, filled with love, is the most beautiful thing to photograph.
